Abstract
In the post-Great Recession era, investment banks have invested in analytics for managing critical projects. This has not only streamlined executive reporting to regulators and key stakeholders, but it has also paved the way for high-quality command and control. Projects involving the decommissioning of legacy banking applications have long suffered from a lack of comprehensive future state planning and poorly vetted execution strategies. The usage of analytical modeling and tools aims to solve some of these challenges.
