Abstract

Working from home can be considered an indispensable factor of contemporary management, with projects in which working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic can significantly impact. This research aims to reveal factors and problems related to remote working in project management contexts: experience of India-based cases. Some of the identified areas include communication issues, collaboration issues, technology issues, and performance issues. Based on data from 165 project managers and over 500 team members in India, the study provides important information on how organisations implement change in the new remote work environment and the tactics used to overcome the challenges. In addition, the paper also focuses on the general consequences of teleworking concerning the organisation of projects and possible recommendations for enhancing this aspect.
