Abstract: - This paper basically focuses on the different techniques and approaches accepted and used by different website designers to make their website user as well as browser friendly. The main aim of this paper is to bring into consideration that there are mainly three approaches, Fixed layout, Fluid layout and Hybrid layout, that can be used for web page designing. Moreover, this paper discusses about widely accepted approaches for all the three layouts and will also deal with Responsive layouts, designed for mobile applications. The ultimate goal is to make user arrive at the conclusion as to what technique and layout will be appropriate according to his/her requirements with all the pros and cons into view.
