Abstract -
Various applications like pollution monitor, tsunami warning, offshore exploration, planned surveillance come under the underwater wireless sensor networks. The features like low available bandwidth, large propagation delay, highly dynamic network topology, and high error probability pose many challenges for reliable communication protocols. IAMCTD (Improved Adaptive Mobility of Courier nodes in Threshold-optimized DBR protocol for UWSNs) targeted on throughput for critical-range based applications and on enhancing network reliability. IAMCTD extension has a scheme that avoids control overhead that has been contained in IAMCTD for implementing changes through threshold.
