Abstract -
Pulse-shaping is an important application of multi-rate filtering techniques and is the process of changing the waveform of transmitted pulses. Pulse shaping is mainly used to limit the effective bandwidth of transmission and to reduce intersymbol interference.In this paper, we have study and analyzed various pulse shaping filters like Raised cosine, FIR Nyquist, and FIR and IIR half band with down sampler and corresponding matched filter.We Plot the magnitude response of thesefilters and calculate the Bit error rate at various SNR values for 16-QAM modulation under AWGN channel.
